Uniform
We have a fantastic uniform at West Town Primary Academy which the children are proud of. It helps to support the ethos and culture which we promote and as such it is expected that all children wear the correct uniform, as that helps to keep them safe and suitably dressed for school life, visits and activities. We are proud of the fact that the children’s appearance is commented on when we take part in festivals, visits and sporting events.
We have worked hard to ensure our uniform is affordable with many items that can be purchased from high street retailers. Please see below for an outline of which items can be purchased anywhere and which ones need to be purchased from Chroma Sport directly.
Our school uniform remains consistent throughout the whole year. We do not operate a seasonal uniform policy, this includes items such as summer dresses.

Alternatively, Peterborough City Council have established a second hand school uniform shop in Queensgate Shopping Centre where the unifrom is used but free of charge. Please see the link below for more details.

Additional Items
If parents choose for their child to wear a hijab for religious reasons then they are expected to wear the school cobalt blue hijab Please speak to the school office.
Hair accessories must be in school colours and be discrete in design.
Children will need to bring a bag to school. It is unlikely that the children will need to carry large items in their bags and there is limited space for the children to store large bags. Therefore please ensure that any bags purchased are practical and small in size.
