School Meals

Encouraging children to eat a nutritious, balanced diet is important for a number of reasons.  Ensuring they get the right vitamins and minerals in their diet will help them grow and develop better.  They are also more likely to be energised and motivated, supporting their ability to learn. 

We are a healthy school and our hot dinner menu provides children with a well-balanced, nutritious meal. It is cooked on site using fresh ingredients. Each meal will cost £2.80. The lunch menu is on a three-week rotation.

We are a nut free school which means we do not accept nuts in any form on site. We also support our muslim families by offering a halal or vegetarian option each day.

All of our Key Stage One children enjoy a free school meal as provided by the government and a majority of our key stage two children choose to have school meals.

If your child is in Key Stage 2 (Years 3 -6) and you would like them to have a packed lunch they will need to have a healthy, balanced lunch. We will contact parents if a child regularly brings in an unhealthy packed lunch. We have an easy guide you can follow below by using a traffic light system.

Free school meals can also be applied for. If you think you may be eligible please click here to complete an application.

We ask all families to apply for free school meals, even if you do not wish your child to receive the meal, or if they are already receiving a universal infant free school meal, as this will provide additional funding for the school for the children.

MyChildAtSchool (MCAS)

We are pleased to advise that we are a cashless school and all payments are to be made online using your MyChildAtSchool (MCAS) account. This includes school dinners, trips, and extra-curricular activities such as cooking club. We no longer accept cash payments or cheques.

MCAS is a secure, online payment system that offers you the freedom to make payments whenever and wherever you like, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is easy to set up an account and is accessible on smart phones, tablets/iPads and computers. You can also access it via their app which can be downloaded directly to your phone / tablet.

Food Allergies

If your child has a food allergy, please contact the school office as soon as possible so that we can work with families to provide tailored meals.
